**JOB SUMMARY**:
Provide clerical and administrative support to the EMS management & staff, through organizing, coordinating, and follow-up. Keyboard and proofreads various reports, correspondence, documents, newsletters, physical file management, overheads for presentations, meeting minutes, reports, flyers, and preparation of materials used within the communication service. Required to respond to all incoming, client related calls and inquiries, and refer where appropriate.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**EDUCATION**:

- Completion of Grade 12.
- Completion of one year of post-secondary education/training in a business or office administration program or equivalent.

**KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE**:

- 2-3 years related experience in similar environment where interaction with the public was significant.
- Experience in an EMS/medical environment is an asset.

**SKILLS**:

- Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess knowledge of customer service skills.
- Must possess excellent organization skills, ensuring procedural, professional, and/or organizational standards are adhered to.
- Must be able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines and frequent interruptions.
- Must be receptive and open to change.
- Must be motivated to learn or advance expertise and act on opportunities.
- Must recognize and adapt to individual differences and team dynamics to produce effective working relationships.
- Must possess knowledge of the Internet.
- Must possess knowledge and understanding of local community & stakeholder resources.

**SPECIAL CONDITIONS**:

- May be required travel to other offices or community locations, as assigned.
- An annual influenza vaccination is recommended.
