Description
Job Summary:
You are a safety-conscious Asphalt Plant Operator with at least 3 years’ experience. You will be working with our Highway Construction crew throughout Alberta on various paving projects. You are a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate ability to operate Asphalt Plant safely and effectively
- Have sufficient computer skills to operate Asphalt Plant
- Ensure regular equipment maintenance is completed
- Monitor operations to ensure consistent production and be responsible for completing daily checks and maintain plant logs
- Must follow and comply with Ledcor’s Health & Safety programs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing an Asphalt Plant
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide a valid driver’s abstract
- Ability to incorporate health and safety concepts into work activities
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Mechanical inclination would be a definite asset
Work Conditions:
- This position is likely to run from May to November 2024
- Living out allowance of $135.00 per day is provided
- Benefits and RRSP provided
- Preference for those with an RV or trailer, camp area with hookups provided
