DCM Integrated Solutions Inc. is a reputable contractor specializing in engineering, construction, and maintenance services for industrial projects. We have been contracted to install and operate a temporary pilot plant at a water treatment facility located within a large oil extraction facility north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. The water treatment plant is owned and operated by a technology company, with the oil company being a prominent Canadian firm. Our role involves operating the pilot plant during the testing period and decommissioning it afterward.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. **Operation and Monitoring**: Operate and monitor all equipment and systems within the pilot plant to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

2. **Routine Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment as necessary, including troubleshooting and making minor repairs to ensure continuous operation.

3. **Quality Control**: Monitor water treatment processes and perform quality control checks to ensure the treated water meets specified standards and regulatory requirements.

4. **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

5. **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including equipment readings, maintenance activities, and any incidents or abnormalities encountered during operation.

6. **Communication**: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including the technology company, oil company, and DCM Integrated Solutions Inc., to provide updates on plant operations, issues, and progress.

7. **Training and Support**: Provide training and support to other team members as needed, including any temporary staff hired to assist with plant operation during peak periods.

8. **Environmental Compliance**: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, including proper handling and disposal of wastewater and other byproducts generated during the testing phase.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**

1. **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certification in water treatment, chemical processing, or related field is preferred.

2. **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role, preferably in the operation of water treatment plants or industrial facilities.

3. **Technical Skills**: Strong technical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot various types of equipment and systems commonly found in water treatment plants.

4. **Safety Conscious**: Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others.

5. **Communication**: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

6. **Problem-Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

7. **Adaptability**: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules, including occasional overtime or weekend work as needed.

8. **Team Player**: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives.
