- About the roleWe’re looking for a **_Manager, Facilities_** to join our growing team
Manage and coordinate the implementation of renovation projects for Intact Financial Corporation including planning and providing strategic directions. Manage and develop Project Team, Facilities Technicians, Administrators and Reception staff. Produce and maintain budget for Toronto office relating to facility expenses and space allocations.
**Major Duties**
- Report to the Director, Facilities & Real Estate on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to facilities management.
- Provide oversight and monitoring of adherence to building use policies for the IFC Ontario locations.
- Oversee contracts with providers for services including security, cleaning, catering, furniture, and other in conjunction with the Procurement Team.
- Act as an expert advisor with knowledge of strategies, best practices, and emerging technologies for transforming to a hybrid working model where flexibility of work location and communication tools are available to maximize collaboration and improve the quality of employee interaction.
- Work in partnership with Manager, Technology Infrastructure to coordinate and support network infrastructure and physical security projects.
- Provide leadership and guidance to your team of Reception and Facility Technicians on facilities matters.
- Work with the Sustainability and Climate Action team to reflect the company’s initiatives on waste diversion, energy consumption, and carbon footprint reductions relating to facilities.
- Provide leadership to Facilities Project Managers on new building projects, renovations, refreshes and budgets.
- Work with premises design vendors/partners providing guidance and input to ensure that workspace planning is in line with corporate objectives.
- Ensure that basic facilities are well-maintained.
- Manage relationships with building landlords for occupancy related discussions and escalation of issues.
- Work with your team to manage logistics for people movement and space optimization, ensuring all staff have a safe and functional workspace.
- Manage business continuity planning in emergency events.
- Work with employees, managers, VPs to analyze requests and suggest solutions that meet their specific needs while respecting strategic orientations and Intact values.
- Qualifications**What you bring to the table**:
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Occasional after hour work required on projects.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Autocad experience preferred.
- FMP or PMP designations would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in a Facilities or Project Management role.
- Good multi-tasking skills and excellent sense of urgency when required.
- People and relationship management skills.
