Within the Consumers, Registry and Strategic Services Division of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, Land titles and Surveys ensures that the ministers mandate, ministry strategic and business plan goals drive outcomes to ensure property rights are protected, programs and related services are modernized and registry services run efficiently.

**Role Responsibilities**:

As the Director, Program Policy and Analytics, you will report to the Executive Director, and you will be responsible in providing policy direction and establish the procedures by which Land Titles Analysts operate.

As the deputy registrar under the Land Titles Act, you will liaise with your colleagues across Canada and the world to look for alignment and policy innovation to bring Land Titles and Surveys not only to date but become a leader.

You can make sound decisions under pressure, with your analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also have the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Lead policy development and support implementation.
- Lead stakeholder engagement to ensure stakeholder needs are and policy changes are developed with a user-centric approach.
- Manage, on behalf of the branch, the procedures manual by which the Land Titles and Surveys operates.
- Fosters stakeholder support for the changes contemplated for the land title system.
- Responsible for regulating the practice of the Land Title offices and functions to set broad direction, establish objectives, expectations and develop and implement policy.
- Accountable for land title and quality assurance and overall integrity of title to real property in Alberta.
- Ensure reporting and evaluation meets the needs of the branch, government, and stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team and can implement change management initiatives.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum requirements:
A Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree supplemented by seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience. Equivalencies may be considered.
- Be a member of the law society of Alberta who is in good standing.
- Have experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards to improve service delivery.
- Have experience working with the legislation relevant to the operation of Land Titles, including the Land Titles Act.

- Strong data analytics, reporting and evaluation experience.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
