**Job Title**: Identification Services Operator (Military Police Unit)

**Location**: Victoria, BC - CFB Esquimalt

**Wage**: $20.95 (plus 2.5% RRSP cash)

**Position** **Status**: Union position

**Hours of Work**: 0800-1600, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays

The Identification Services Operator assists the Identification Specialist Supervisor with providing identification services including photographing and fingerprinting personnel employed at CFB Esquimalt and the surrounding area.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Control and issue personal identification cards.
- Write, edit, print, process, and deliver identification forms, changes and renewals.
- Maintain a filing system and control register.
- Amend and issue/distribute identification and security policies.
- Take photographs and fingerprint personnel.
- Information Technology Storage Media (ITSM) Custodian.

**REQUIRED** **QUALIFICATIONS**
- Successful completion of the Commissionaire Qualifying Course.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s licence and be able to obtain a valid DND 404 driver’s licence.
- Must have Reliable Security Screening and named on the VCR for CFB Esquimalt.
- Must be able to obtain a Level II (Secret) security clearance issued by Public Works & Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
- Must be living in Canada for more than 10 years, be a Permanent Resident/Canadian Citizen
- Knowledge of Government requirements for verifying identity.
- Knowledge of military writing would be an asset.
- Ability to utilize organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as person must deal with all ranks and levels of DND personnel.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with outstanding customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently/under stress.
- Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability and flexibility to deal effectively and efficiently with rapidly changing situations.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Be able to attend identification courses at Ottawa. (Expenses paid by CFB Esquimalt).
- Requires strong computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite (primarily Excel/Access) and internet browsers.
- Take on secondary duties as directed by unit leadership.
