**Description**:

- Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the Student Life Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and management of professional services. The main areas of responsibility to oversee operations and service delivery include the following.
- More specifically, but not limited to, the Coordinator:
- Ensures that all activities and operations under the sector of Student Life are aligned with the College mission and strategic plan;
- Coordinates activities and services for the realization of the annual plan objectives;
- Oversees multiple sectors in Student Life which includes all activities and workshops, student engagement, orientation, Forces Avenir, Vanier Key Society, Umbrella, Sustainability and Intercultural;
- Coordinates the integration and support of the Indigenous student population at the College as well as develop related program content;
- Acts as a liaison with the Vanier College Student Association in the implementation of their contract agreement;
- Oversees all operations of the Sports Complex which includes physical education classes, rentals, therapy clinic and Aquatic community program;
- Coordinates the development, implementation and operations of all Athletic and Recreational programs for students;
- Acts as a liaison for the auxiliary services of the Cafeteria, Vanier Coop (Bookstore and Café) and Supercamp;
- Serves as College representative on various College committees such as Health and Safety and Vanier College Advisory Committee on Environment, and assumes tasks related to this involvement.

Other responsibilities include:
- Human resources management (hire, train, assign work, support, supervise and motivate staff);
- Financial resources management (develop and manage annual budget);
- Participation on College committees;
- Replacing the Director, as needed;
- Other related duties.

Other related tasks which fall within the scope of the classification of this position may be assigned.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (35 hours per week)
- Contract: Until April 11, 2024
- Classification: Coordinator of Service (C-7)**Requirements**:

- Qualifications: Established in accordance with provisions of Article 7-2.00 of the Policy for Management Personnel.**- Bachelor’s degree in Administration or a related field;
- 5 years of pertinent experience in Student Services, preferably in the CEGEP network;
- Management Experience in a unionized environment is an important asset;
- Excellent French and English oral and written communication skills (to be tested);
- Solutions and results-based leadership;
- Excellent human relations skills and customer service.
