**Description**:

- Reporting to the Coordinator of Building Services, the Painter completes the painting needs of the college.
- More specifically, but not limited to, the Painter:
- Prepares paint color mixtures;
- Repairs surfaces to paint, including graffiti removal and plastering;
- Paints on different surfaces, walls, shelves, cabinets, etc.;
- Maintains inventory levels and orders materials as necessary;
- Removes the furniture prior to painting and replaces it thereafter;
- Hangs paper or other types of protective coverings on walls;
- Ensures cleaning and maintenance of the instruments and tools used and ensures that the premises and the equipment are safe;
- May be called upon to coordinate the work of other support personnel, as needed;
- May be called upon to use the information technology and communication tools at their disposal in relation to the work being done.

Other related tasks which fall within the scope of the classification of this position may be assigned.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday. Hours varies, either 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. OR 7:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (38.75 hours a week)
- Contract: Until the return of the incumbent to their position
- Classification: Ouvrier certifié d’entretien (Certified Maintenance Workman)**Requirements**:

- Qualifications:
- A valid journeyperson certificate of competency issued under the Regulation respecting the issuance of certificates of competency (enacted under the ACT respecting labour relations, vocational training and manpower management in the construction industry (R.S.Q. c. - R20));
OR- A diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in Building Painting and one (1) year of relevant experience;
Conditions related to the specific position:
- Good English and French oral competencies (to be tested);
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills;
- Good human relations skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues;
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously;
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks;
- Good organizational skills;
- Possess a valid driver's license.
