**Accounting and Office Manager**

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform full cycle bookkeeping and accounting,
- Generate monthly and annual financial statements,
- Prepare adjusting and accrual journal entries as required,
- Reconcile General Ledger accounts to maintain accuracy,
- Investigate variances and follow-up,
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end reports for management,
- Complete job costing and variance reporting for management,
- Ensure all required remittances are accurately determined and reported (GST, HST, etc.),
- Oversee and support the functions of direct reports, including A/R, A/P and payroll staff,
- Back up for payroll, and
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

**Minimum Requirements**
- Post-secondary education with four or more years of full cycle accounting experience,
- CPA Designation an asset
- Four or more years’ experience with a computerized accounting program,
- Payroll experience using an external payroll preparation service, such as ADP, Ceridian, Payworks, etc.,
- Significant experience with Cash Flow Management
- Experience working with and supporting project managers on financial performance of their projects/jobs,
- Managing a team of 2-3, and working with 10+ peers in the office,
- Strong computer skills with strong competency using Excel, Word and various accounting programs
- Demonstrated ability to act with tact and discretion when dealing with internal and external personnel.
- Understanding of the Importance of Confidentiality

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Bookkeeping and/or Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
- Payroll, AR/AP: 5 years (preferred)
- Management: 5 years (preferred)
