Secure Energy has an immediate need for an experienced Field Services Supervisor to join our Secure Waste Management Field services team. The Field Services Supervisor reports to the Field Services Manager and works jointly with Project Coordinators to direct Field Services activities. Daily responsibilities for overseeing the Field Services Group including: mentoring, developing scheduling and actively participating in the activities of the Field Service Technicians; ensuring that they operate safely and deliver professional customer service in the field.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize and facilitate weekly field services safety meetings and review all safety documentation paperwork
- Complete daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA) and Last Minute Risk Assessment (LMRA) as required.
- Structure and coordinate the Field Technicians weekly activities.
- Develop, train and mentor Field Staff to ensure they understand their role and responsibilities in relation to the operations group
- Ensure all field staff has the required training and are fit for work.
- Assist staff in resolving daily issues, clarify workload expectations when required and address opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Review, audit and approve work tickets, field services documents for completeness and correctness.
- Ensure field services staff have the required tools necessary for the job and are competent to complete the jobs tasks required.
- Respond to customer or operations requests for regular pickups and schedule accordingly.
- Perform site inspections to ensure safety standards and procedures are being upheld as required.
- Answer emergency response calls after hours and provide support to other districts and/or divisions.
- Support Field Technicians and Drivers with creating a professional image while on site.
- Work with Project Coordinators and Dispatcher to schedule Field Technicians for upcoming jobs.
- Act as a liaison between the Sales and Field Services group to ensure all concerns/inconsistencies are being identified and addressed
- Assist with project management and onsite job supervision as required. Entails travel to project locations where needed to support business requirements.
- Work with Field Services Supervisors and personnel from other WM districts to provide support staff and to ensure optimal staff utilization.
- Provide operational input/support to bidding, quoting, project setup and sales as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years work experience within the waste management industry preferably within a field services and/or industrial cleaning capacity.
- Previous experience supervising and mentoring a team.
- Related Post-secondary education such as a Technical Diploma in Business, Science or Environmental studies.
- Solid understanding of the environmental and oil and gas industry, as well as clients, suppliers and competitors in the waste management sector.
- Excellent understanding of transport rules and regulatory requirements along with ability to ensure compliance of such rules and requirements, including but not limited to, permit conditions, waste characterization, waste classification, container requirements, segregation requirements, storage limits, lab packing, bulking/blending, commingling, labeling, inventorying, shipping and receiving, and TDG.
- Industry certifications/training (TDG, WHMIS, H2S Alive, HAZWOPER, First Aid et cetera) would be considered an asset.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
- Ability to build relationships with Secure clients and within all levels of the organization.
- Open and honest with team members as it relates to all aspects of the work.
- Maintain a positive attitude in all aspects of work along with a desire to continue to learn.
- Ability to communicate effectively and express thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Good computer skills with ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows.
- Fit-for-Work each day.
- Valid and current Class 5 Driver's License along with capacity to operate commercial vehicles required. Air Brakes and Class 1 or 3 licenses would be considered an asset.
