We have an opening for an Accounting/Administrative Assistant in our downtown Vancouver office. This is a key position which provides accounting and office management support to the Financial Controller and Project Managers. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is interested in accounting, project coordination and office management.

Applicant must be able to start immediately.

**Job Description - **Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
- Process and code invoices for payment as well as assisting employees in processing expense reports
- Entering data into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted
- Support Project Managers through a variety of tasks related to project organization and communication
- Prepare purchase orders for sub-contractors and suppliers
- Perform office administration tasks, such as filing documents, copying, scanning, etc.
- Maintain the effective operation and upkeep of the all office equipment, computers and general office space
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Answer telephone, electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
- Greet visitors and direct to appropriate person
- Ad hoc projects as required

**Qualifications**:

- Accounting/Administration Diploma or Certificate is an Asset
- Minimum 2 year of office administration, reception and accounting experience.
- Background on construction administration
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Ability to work independently
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving, organizational and attention to detail skills
- Familiarity with Sage Software is an asset but not required
- Accounting education and/or work experience, and knowledge of financial terms and accounting principles is an asset but not required

**Compensation**:

- Salary Range : $43-48K
- Group health/dental benefits (50/50 premium)

**Job Type**: Full-Time.

In person, remote setting not available.

Pay: $43,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
