Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is a 60/40 joint venture partnership between Equinox Gold and Orion Mine Finance Group formed for the purpose of the joint ownership and development of the Greenstone Gold Property including the Greenstone Mine located on a historical mine site in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone belt in Ontario. The Greenstone Mine is managed directly by a dynamic and experienced Owner’s team, with an estimated $1.5 Billion investment over the three-year construction and commissioning phase, and a 14-year operating life of mine.
Greenstone Mine is seeking a Fuel & Lube Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the Fuel & Lube Technician is responsible for safely and productively operating an articulated fuel & lube truck.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE**: Operate the articulated fuel & lube truck in a safe and efficient way in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures. Perform Field Level Risk Assessments. Cleaning and lubricating the motor grader; refilling all fluids as required. Complete logbooks and daily reports on safety issues and production. Use two-way-radio, and horn signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety. Use an articulated fuel & lube truck according to operating practices, policies, and procedures. Maintain winter roads. Manage water as necessary. Monitor gauges, and other indicators to make ensure the motor grader is working properly, report discrepancies.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a fuel & lube technician at a mine site Valid driver’s license Prior mining experience is required Previous operation of articulated offroad truck is an asset
LOCATION
This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario.
Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick-up point locations.
