Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is a 60/40 joint venture partnership between Equinox Gold and Orion Mine Finance Group formed for the purpose of the joint ownership and development of the Greenstone Gold Property including the Greenstone Mine located on a historical mine site in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone belt in Ontario. The Greenstone Mine is managed directly by a dynamic and experienced Owner’s team, with an estimated $1.5 Billion investment over the three-year construction and commissioning phase, and a 14-year operating life of mine.
Greenstone Mine is seeking a Dozer Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Dozer Operator is responsible for safely and productively operating tracked Dozers varying in operating weight.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE**: Operate the Dozer in a safe and efficient way in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures. Monitor gauges, and other indicators to make ensure the Dozer is working properly, report discrepancies to dispatch. Perform Field Level Risk Assessments. Maintain a high level of housekeeping as well as lubricating and refilling all fluids as required. Use two-way-radio, horn, and light signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety. Use the Dozer according to operating practices to push and place materials such as overburden, sand, gravel, blasted rock, and snow. Build pads, build roads, prep drill patterns, rip & maintain pit floors, support loading units as well as perform shovel clean ups.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION A minimum of 2 years of experience operating a Dozer in a mine setting Valid driver’s license Prior experience in an industrial setting - mine site experience is required Heavy Equipment Operator Training or pertinent experience is required Ontario Surface Common Core Training is an asset
LOCATION
This position will be based in Geraldton, Ontario on a rotational basis.
Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick-up points.
