Greenstone Gold Mines L.P. is a 60/40 joint venture partnership between Equinox Gold and Orion Mine Finance Group formed for the purpose of the joint ownership and development of the Greenstone Gold Property including the Greenstone Mine located on a historical mine site in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone belt in Ontario. The Greenstone Mine is managed directly by a dynamic and experienced Owner’s team, with an estimated $1.5 Billion investment over the three-year construction and commissioning phase, and a 14-year operating life of mine.
Greenstone Mine is seeking Summer Students to join our team. Summer Students will be responsible for assisting the team with various aspects of the mine.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE**: Knowledge of and interest in the mining industry The ability and desire to develop skills. The ability and desire to develop hands-on experience in the mining industry. You are a real team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are by nature a self-starter with the ability to work independently and take direction. A critical and analytical thinker Strong written communication skills Relevant work, co-op or research experience, is considered an asset. Ability to work safely at a remote site and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION Enrolled in technical curriculum at an accredited college or university and completed at least one year of study. Valid Driver’s License.
LOCATION This position is a local position based in Geraldton, Ontario.
Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick-up point locations.
