As the IT & Operations Specialist, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day to day office operations as well as provide tier 1 technical support to our remote first team. You’ll also make sure our newest team members have an excellent employee experience from day one by coordinating all of their IT equipment needed for onboarding.

**As our IT & Operations Specialist you will have**:

- ** Excellent problem solving skills**: You enjoy taking on new challenges and using your analytical skills and creativity to find solutions quickly and effectively.
- ** A keen interest in technology**: You will provide tier 1 technical support for our growing team. Anything from install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for desktops, laptops, and other computer related peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve desktop hardware and software issues. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Maintain and update software and hardware inventory.
- ** A passion for creating exceptional customer service**: You’ll be responsible for owning IT onboarding & offboarding. Ensuring employees have all of the right equipment on their first day is such an important aspect for success at Firmex. You’ll own the IT logistics, arrange with the courier & help our new remote team members set up their work station for success. Advise and facilitate the JHSC procedures and annual updates.
- ** Security at top of mind**: You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the office security system, including security alarms, access keys, and office services. Monitor security activities, such as access control, CCTV, and alarms and ensure that all access keys and security systems are maintained in a secure and up-to-date manner.
- ** An eye for detail**: Make sure our office always looks professional and organized. Keeping our cupboards, fridges and snacks well stockedbecause we can’t live without our snacks You’ll be assisting employees, coordinating office activities, and providing customer service. You will coordinate with external vendors to oversee efficient receipt, storage and dispatching of IT assets to employees, and ensure the smooth running of the office.

**What you'll need to be successful as our IT & Operations Specialist**:

- At least 1-2 years with relevant experience in an office environment
- Adept at learning business software programs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, MacOS and Linux Operating Systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to problem solve and think critically
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational awareness
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- This position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
