**INDIGENOUS PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATOR - One-Year paid NOHFC Internship**
**United Way Centraide North East Ontario/Nord-est de l’Ontario - Sudbury Office**
**Annual Salary: $36,400**
**Purpose**:Reporting to the Executive Director, the Indigenous Partnerships Coordinator is passionate about building community capacity and will assist in developing and maintaining relationships with Indigenous community partners in Northeast Ontario.
**Key duties and responsibilities will include**:
- Develop and manage relationships with indigenous service agencies and communities in a way that promotes collaboration, collective impact, and on-going learning.
- Identify Indigenous-led and/or supporting social service programs that align with United Way’s mission and connect them to opportunities for funding, resources, etc., and ensure that their programs and information are accurately updated and accessible through 2.1.1.
- Assist in the facilitation of workshops and forums.
- In collaboration with partners, support the planning and delivery of Indigenous events and celebrations.
- Learn and utilize the relational management database to ensure partner information is current and accurate.
- Work collaboratively in all aspects of assigned projects including budget, research, data analysis, policy development, work plan development, writing of letters, reports, documents, and schedules.
- Use UWCNEO Volunteer Resource Centre resources to assist with volunteer recruitment and mobilization to support indigenous programs.
- Assist in the expansion of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program by identifying Indigenous volunteers to be trained to prepare income tax returns, who will then work within their community to provide this service to their community members.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Self-identifies as an Indigenous person, including First Nations, Métis, or Inuit.
- Is either a new entrant into the workforce, is transitioning to a new career, or is unemployed or underemployed and is entering a new field,
- Has not previously participated in NOHFC’s People & Talent Program,
- Is at least 18 years of age,
- Resides in Northern Ontario,
- Is legally entitled to work in Canada.
