**KEY FUNCTION**:
Provide recommendations that are culturally safe and relevant for North Eastern Indigenous communities, organizations and groups, and strengthen regional partnerships to support the implementation and ongoing development of the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) program.

**REPORTING**:
Under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program.

**DUTIES**:

- Lead engagement with local and regional stakeholders to identify service gaps and develop recommendations for the implementation and ongoing development of the OSP program while giving consideration to North Eastern Indigenous communities.
- Act as a primary point of contact to prioritize and coordinate goals for the OSP program andpresent complex concepts for stakeholder review (i.e, regional and provincial colleagues within the OSP network).
- Collaborate with with the Provincial Indigenous Consultant to identify educational needs for OSP clinicians; develop/deliver educational materials regarding cultural teachings and safety applicable to Indigenous clients.
- Recommend appropriate integration of legislative updates and cultural practices into services and delivery.
- Represent the program at provincial community of practice and planning tables for Indigenous Leads.
- Participate in regular meetings with Ontario Health, and provide updates regarding regional Indigenous considerations within the OSP program.
- Develop, lead, and provide oversight and recommendations to the Indigenous OSP working group.
- Conduct and lead gap and needs analyses within the program, and present findings to inform regional and provincial colleagues, Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Provide recommendations for safe and culturally relevant intake methods for Indigenous clients.
- Identify appropriate tools to collate feedback from Indigenous clients to evaluate the program and inform implementation and improvement work.
- Measure the effectiveness of the program with respect to access for Indigenous clients; prepare and present recommendations for regional and provincial stakeholders, Indigenous partners, and community organizations.
- Develop, implement and monitor effectiveness of an evaluation framework for new strategies/ adaptations and continued evolution within the OSP program, and ensure incorporation of feedback results in the continued evolution and improvement of Indigenous partnerships and OSP services across the service network.
- Support the development of clinical, culturally safe guidelines for OSP from adaptations designed for therapists delivering therapy to ensure satisfactory care.
- Collaborate with internal and external communications consultants to ensure advertising and marketing assets are culturally appropriate and relevant to the Indigenous population across the Northeast region.
- Promote health equity for Indigenous clients impacted by barriers to various social determinants of health.
- Manage travel and all associated logistics in accordance with HSN’s travel policy, to various Indigenous communities across the region for in-person partner engagement and pathway development.
- Identify areas for improvement, provide recommendations for change and participate in the review and revision of systems and protocols as required.
- Liase with Indigenous partners in the OSP network to implement system-wide changes.
- Determine and align improvement projects with HSN’s Strategic Plan; monitor and adjust to achieve goal outcomes.
- Participate in education and training specific to current, relevant federal and provincial health and safety legislation, standards and guidelines.
- Educate and promote health, safety and wellness in the work place.
- Represent the department or program on various committees and in meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION AND TRAINING**:

- Minimum of a four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field, from an accredited university, or equivalent.
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations or groups.
- Minimum of one (1) year in a leadership role.
- Experience working with Indigenous language, culture, customs, and traditions is required.
