**Job Overview**
**Vacant positions at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (5 total positions)**:s):

**Mandatory Meetings**
- Alberta Soccer Board Meetings
*4 - 6 in person meetings and 2 - 4 conference calls
In person meetings are normally held on Saturdays or Sundays and meetings are scheduled in a yearly calendar.
In person meetings include shorter meetings during the Membership meetings identified below.
Conference calls are no more than two hours.
- Alberta Soccer Membership Meetings
- 2 weekends per year

Late May - Planning Meeting
Late February - Annual General
Meeting Committee Membership
- All Board Members are expected to be active on a minimum of one Governance committee as chair or voting member.
- The Governance Committees include:
- Governance, Strategic Planning, Finance and Audit
- Ad-hoc committees as determined by the Board of Directors
- Committee time commitments vary, and Terms of Reference should be reviewed or discussed prior to commitment to a particular committee.
- Public Events_
- Board Members will be invited to attend various public events hosted by Alberta Soccer, Canada Soccer, our Affiliated Members or Partners and will be expected to attend a minimum of three events annually. Events include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provincial Competitions
- National Competitions
- Invitational Tournaments
- National or Professional Team Games & Appearances
- Communication_
- Minimum Standards_
- The Alberta Soccer Board of Directors minimum duties are outlined in the ASA By-laws.
Specific attention should be paid to the following sections
- Article IV.4 - Duties of the Officers
- Article IV.5 - Obligations and Powers of the Board of Directors
- Article IV.8 - Board Meetings
- All Board Members will be required to pass a Criminal Record Check to the satisfaction of the Alberta Soccer Volunteer Screening Policy.
- All Board Members will be required to sign the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy which include a declaration of professional and soccer affiliations.

Pay: $123,456.00-$5,678,910.00 per year
