This allows the AIOs to fulfill their mandate, to advance Alberta's international interests within their respective local markets. The scope of work includes ensuring that services such as HR, finance, MOUs/agreements with GAC, all reflect the policies and priorities of the GOA, and unique local office needs.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Educate & Empower: Design and implement comprehensive orientation programs for AIO staff, covering essential topics such as finance, HR policies, diplomatic protocols, and media training, ensuring staff feel confident and prepared.
- Advise & Support: Be the go-to expert on legislative and policy interpretation, offering advice on operational matters, to ensure smooth operations across all offices.
- Collaborate & Deliver: Provide critical input to and support the development of operational budgets, financial forecasts and execution of complex financial transactions, coordinating with stakeholders like Treasury Board and Finance, Agriculture and Irrigation, and GAC.
Build Relationships: Cultivate strong networks and maintain effective communication channels with AIO staff and other ministries, making sure everyone is aligned and informed.**AIO Network Resourcing**
- Optimize & Organize: Work closely with GAC to manage staffing needs, helping create or adjust positions as required and ensuring efficient invoicing processes.
- Tailor Solutions: Partner with hiring managers to refine job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect the unique needs of each AIO.

**Role Responsibilities (Continued)**:

- Lead Projects: Use your exceptional organizational skills to manage the review and update of various operational documents, policies, and processes that support the AIO network.
- Drive Policy Development: Collaborate with the Public Service Commission to develop and refine the Alberta Public Service International Service Guidelines (APSISG), ensuring policies are clear and effective.

- Provide Strategic Insights: Develop briefing notes and recommendations for senior leadership (ADM and/or DM), guiding decision-making on key initiatives.
