Bilingual Proposal Writer, 18 Month Contract

The Proposal Writer is responsible for the development of accurate, compelling messaging and high-quality content for proposals. Leveraging Shipley principles of proposal development, the Proposal Writer must exhibit strong writing skills to ensure consistency and clarity to meet sales objectives and client needs. This person must ensure all compliance and regulatory restrictions are met. This position maintains high quality standards despite pressing deadlines; always striving to do work right the first time and keep projects on target to meet milestones.

**How You'll Make an Impact**:

- Writes creative, effective proposal content according to project specifications and adheres to style guide standards
- Produces original and adapted content that is clear, compelling and credible
- Recommends the effective reuse of past materials when appropriate
- Ensures all content is consistent in terms of value proposition, style, quality and tone of voice and appropriate messaging for proposals and meets or exceeds the writing objectives set in the creative brief
- Adheres to regulatory and compliance regulations
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritze balancing multiple projects simultaneously
- Executes writing requests with accuracy and attention to detail, producing error-free work that meets or exceeds content objectives
- Codes copy for design features to facilitate the design process
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to ensure a consistent message
- Reviews and implements client changes and edits, and converts information gathered from a variety of sources into usable content
- Actively participates in the ideation process leveraging research, analytics and brand insights
- Presents concepts to clients, obtains feedback and translates that feedback into impactful messaging
- Leverages research and market data to support creative messaging and keeps abreast of business challenges and competitor strategies
- Understands and conveys company brands, objectives and initiatives, along with competitive and strategic data
- Works to improve the team’s overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach
- Supports peers by reviewing work to ensure zero errors in work
- Supports leadership in helping to build a unified team mind set
- Engages in professional development to continuously grow in profession and remain current
- Provides writing support for aligned client group(s), as well as supporting projects from other clients as demand and scheduling requires
- Manages expectations with clients and departmental teams to ensure all deadlines are met, including negotiating timelines and budgets
- Appropriately balances client desires, business requirements and sales strategies, and finds common ground when debating creative or strategic opinions
- Works harmoniously with others to get a job done

**Qualifications** What You'll Need to Succeed**:

- Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
- Minimum of at least two years professional experience required with experience in developing content for RFPs, proactive proposals, and sales in a B2B environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Superior organizational competency
- Adept at embracing brand voice and tone and deploying consistently
- Proficiency with AP and/or company style guide standards
- Ability to effectively manage relationships across the matrix of the organization and serve as a partner to stakeholders
- APMP certification in good standing and experience in Shipley proposal process methodology
- Bilingual fluency in English and French
- Experience in Responsive and Adobe Workfront a desirable plus
