**OPPORTUNITY**
This is an opportunity to gain work experience in the head office of a Canadian public company with operations in Canada and the United States. As part of our 40-member Finance team, you will gain practical experience in many areas of a Finance department such as corporate finance, public company accounting, internal audit, and taxation utilizing an ERP system, analytical software, and tax preparation software.
**ROLE**
As a Finance intern, you will support with:
- Analyzing data for various finance projects using analytical software and an ERP system
- Preparing tax filings using tax preparation software
- Internal control projects
- Completing Statistics Canada reports
**Requirements**:
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
We are looking for students with curious minds who are interested in putting their Finance knowledge into practice. You should possess the following attributes:
- Ability to communicate effectively and work under tight reporting deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to think critically and not afraid to ask questions
- Great with Excel and Word
- Very curious about public company accounting
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, preferably in 3rd or 4th year.
**LOGISTICS**
**Work Location**: Suite 1600 - 1100 Melville Street, Vancouver. This is an onsite work location.
**Term Dates**: May 6, 2024, to December 31, 2024
**Hours of Work**: full-time
