Finance Internship Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance intern to join our team at CanWel Building Materials. As a Finance intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various areas of finance, including corporate finance, public company accounting, internal audit, and taxation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data using analytical software and an ERP system
- Prepare tax filings using tax preparation software
- Support internal control projects
- Complete Statistics Canada reports
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for students with a strong foundation in finance and accounting who are eager to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting. You should possess the following attributes:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to think critically and work independently
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
Education and Experience
We are seeking students who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, preferably in 3rd or 4th year.
Work Environment
Work Location: Downtown Vancouver
Hours of Work: Full-time
