**Full-cycle bookkeeper**
Full time 40 hours a week, with an hour for lunch and break times. Times are flexible with pre-arrangements with Executive Director but working from home is not an option. You will be expected to work as part of a team, and you must be dedicated to interacting with and enjoying the company of seniors. You’ll also be asked to engage with volunteers in a positive and encouraging manner.
Reports to the Executive Director, who does monthly reviews and goal setting with you.
We are looking for a dynamic full-cycle bookkeeper to join our not for profit that is dedicated to the service of seniors in the St. Albert Community. In this role, you'll work with Executive Director, Executive team, and Board Treasurer to record all the financial transactions, which include but are not limited to processing invoices, purchase orders, daily cash outs, and timesheets. You’ll also be in charge of billing for meals on wheels, the bus, and room rentals along with ensuring the office is organized and tidy.
To ensure success as a full-cycle bookkeeper, you should have business acumen, AGLC account experience, and the ability to complete various complex financial tasks accurately and efficiently and in a timely manner. Ultimately, a top-notch full-cycle bookkeeper should be a highly organized and process-driven individual with the ability to handle confidential information.
**Financial Admin Assistant Responsibilities**:
- Processing daily cash, supplier invoices, purchase orders, expenses claims, account payments, and timesheets
- Data entry into Quickbooks Online, daily and weekly cash
- revenue summaries.
- Assisting the Accountant by having all accounts payable and accounts receivable that are approved by the Executive Director prepared.
- Work with MySeniorCenter database for daily cash outs.
- Deposit all bank deposits, summarize all Credit Card balances in Excel
- Maintaining a digital record of all financial transactions, documents, and supplier information.
- Uploading all paper copies of pertinent financial papers to QuickBooks online.
- Coordinating daily financial tasks to optimize workflow.
- Maintaining an organized and comfortable and friendly office environment, ordering office supplies, and updating inventory.
- Managing changes of staff members' financial information if needed.
- Overseeing the healthcare benefits
- Billing for Meals on Wheels
- Oversee the Bus, including but not limited to billing, payments, etc.
- Compiling financial data to prepare monthly revenue reports and ensuring that client accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Preparing the 50% GST rebate paperwork and filing it
- Code all invoices
- Work with forensic accountant to correct any GL accounts
- Take all deposits to the bank
- Utilize MySeniorCenter data base to track and reconcile sales
- Create the monthly kitchen (cash register) reports
- Take care of the paperwork and booking for all rental agreements
**Full-cycle Bookkeeper Requirements**:
- A degree or diploma in bookkeeping, business administration, or a similar field.
- We will interview recent graduates, too.
- Work with forensic accountant for training and orientation
- Must be able to handle stress in a positive manner
- Mut be able to be open and willing to learn.
- Working knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks online.
- Experience with My Senior Center software.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency in mind.
- Excellent analytical skills and financial prowess.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong team player with solid communication skills, empathy and kindness. Bad attitudes need not apply. You must fit into the corporate culture and work with the team, supporting the executive members of the team.
- High levels of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Must pass a background check for working with a vulnerable sector.
- Must have the ability to work patiently with seniors.
- Must be proficient at written and spoken English.
- Accept any assignment given by the Executive Director, Asst Executive Director, or Accountant

**Salary**: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
