**JOB SUMMARY**
Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions as well as, investigating anomalies and unusual transactions. The position is also responsible for responding to vendor and client inquiries and liaises with business areas on accounts payable processing. The position operates within, and ensures compliance with established policies, practices, and controls. A high level of accuracy is required in entering financial information. The incumbent must be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. They are required to exercise judgment in determining how the policies/procedures should be applied to specific situations and must demonstrative initiative in resolving issues. The position provides information and guidance to stakeholders regarding financial controls, policies, and processes related to accounts payable.
**SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Minimum of a High School Diploma and at least 3 years of related experience in a large, computerized accounting environment is required.
- Knowledge of accounting systems, including accounts payable and procurement modules as well as legacy systems and interfaces (e.g. JDE) is needed.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat is also necessary.

- To be eligible to work for AGLC, you must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or eligible to work in Canada.
- As a condition of employment, you will be required to obtain a satisfactory security clearance and clean drivers abstract (if necessary) prior to employment.
