The Opportunity
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the BioSteel Specialty sales across a specified geography in Canada.
The Regional Sales Manager will be accountable for overall sales organization performance within their region, the profitable achievement of sales targets, and for aligning sales objectives with the Biosteel overall business strategy.
Executing the regional business strategy will be a key priority for this entrepreneurial leader who exhibits passion for winning, and a track record for delivering exceptional results. This role will report to the Director of Specialty Sales - Canada.
**Responsibilities**:
- Execute the Regional Sales Team’s objectives for the BioSteel Specialty business and ensure sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting is consistent with BioSteel’s ambition to be a top of mind focus for retailers and distributors.- Manage Key accounts and distributor branches within the region(s) assigned.- Build relationships with the key stake holders to create sales growth and customer education.- Oversee business development within the assigned region(s) to asses all opportunities and create a strategic sales strategy.- Assess distributor and customer performance & provide recommendations to accelerate sales.- Conduct route rides with distributor personnel.- Manage all aspects of the distributor relationships within the region(s) to include, distributor reviews and planning meetings, kick off meetings, market blitz development, incentive planning, and supply chain management.- Achieve revenue, market share and profit objectives as well as other key financial metrics and sales specific performance indicators.- Responsible for managing and delegating specific KPIs to the Territory Sales Specialists and ensuring the specialists have all the appropriate tools necessary to achieve their KPIs in regards to:
- Volume and Share targets- Distribution - according to assigned core assortments- Merchandising of products- Price accuracy and communication guidelines- Ensuring Product quality standards are met- Ensure call frequency requirements- Ensuring that BioSteel brands are represented in line with brand and merchandising guidelines.- Accountable for establishing and delivering against sales budgets across salaries & benefits, travel & expenses, and trade spend.- Work in coordination with the Marketing team and effectively execute marketing programs, strategies and events for all customer and distributors.- Create geographical locations for the specialists for effective route management.- Implement a healthy sales culture that reflects BioSteel ideologies and goals.
Experience and Background- Previous success in growing brand awareness, within a defined geography, using outside of the box thinking.- An insatiable curiosity of what makes customers tick and the ability to turn that curiosity into sales opportunities to drive BioSteel and our customers business.- Entrepreneurial mind-set.- Proven track record in team management with the positive results versus KPIs.- Clean drivers abstract required- A technologically savvy individual who is comfortable working with Microsoft office (Excel and PowerPoint) in a data driven environment.- Experience in specialty sales- Proven track record of working remotely and independently.
