**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Olsen is dedicated to providing our customers with high-quality products and exceptional shopping experiences. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic **eCommerce Account Manager** to join our team and drive our online sales to new heights.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
Reporting to the SR Manager, Merchandise & Planning, the **eCommerce Account Manager**will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our product categories to maximize revenue growth. This role will be critical in shaping the customer’s online experience and driving the success of our eCommerce platform by developing and executing category strategies, product selection pricing, and promotional activities.
**Category Strategy Development**
- Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.
- Analyze customer data, market research, and competitor insights to identify growth opportunities within assigned categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define category-specific objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead the creation of a strategic growth plan to win in digital commerce with our eCommerce Olsen customers while optimizing profitability and sales revenue.
- Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Merchandise & Planning, performs/completes other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request.
**Customer Experience**
- Act as the primary point of contact and manage relationships with eCommerce platforms and third-party partners.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and issues in a prompt and effective manner. Work closely with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve challenges to ensure client satisfaction.
- Manage onsite merchandising and QA on each e-retailer site.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of product copy, assets, links, prices, and overall presence of the brand onsite.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation within the categories.
- Stay up to date with platform policies and industry trends to maximize sales opportunities.
**Product Selection and Assortment**
- Curate and manage a compelling product assortment within the assigned categories.
- Evaluate supplier partnerships, negotiate terms, and manage vendor relationships to ensure product availability, quality, and profitability.
- Monitor product life cycles, assess performance, and make data-driven decisions for assortment adjustments.
**Pricing and Promotion**
- Implement product, pricing, promotional, and advertising strategies to optimize sales and profitability.
- Set competitive pricing strategies and promotional plans to drive sales and margin growth.
- Analyze pricing trends, monitor competitor pricing strategies, and adjust pricing strategies as needed.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of eCommerce strategies. Translate data insights into actionable recommendations to optimize online performance.
- Develop and prepare business-based recommendations to improve results including pricing, and product design, and address any quality concerns.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns.
- Work with Finance to resolve any deductions and claims.
**Demand and Inventory Management**
- In close collaboration with the SR Manager, Merchandise & Planning, accurately forecast product demand on a weekly basis including new assortment launches and inventory replenishment needs.
- Own new product launch forecasts to support merchandising and marketing strategies.
- Implement demand forecasting and replenishment strategies to meet customer demand.
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
- Represent the department as a member of the eCommerce quality assurance committee, ensuring online inventory and pricing are accurate.
**Analytics Reporting**
- Lead the business reporting process and product database accuracy, in partnership with supporting cross-functional teams.
- Regularly analyze category performance data, including sales, margin, and customer behavior.
- Prepare and present category performance reports to senior management, highlighting insights and recommendations for improvement.
**REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in category management, e-commerce, or retail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of NetSuite ERP system is a plus.
- Knowledge of US and Canadian retail market trends is a plus.
