Our construction division focuses on commercial projects ranging from maintenance calls to full fit-up/renovations for Tenants and Landlords. We are able to carry out numerous projects with an amazing team of office staff and on-site managers.

**Summary**
The Event Coordinator reports to the Director of Real Estate and leads the coordination of all Hub Shopping Center (formally Truro Mall) events, in Truro, Nova Scotia. They lead to ensure the operations and logistics of events are complete to create successful outcomes. The Event Coordinator is outgoing, organized and a problem solver with an eye for collaboration and a continuous drive to promote fun-filled events.
**Some of the responsibilities will include**:
- Leading in the fun activities
- Understand requirements and event specifications such as scope, format, budget, and administrative details.
- Research and negotiate contracts with vendors (catering, decorator, speakers, entertainment, etc.) while meeting budgetary objectives and time constraints.
- Contribute to the creation of marketing strategies and creative marketing campaigns to promote events effectively.
- Photograph and video all events at The Hub for social media and website.
- Minor graphic design, advertising, social media coordination, and website management
- Monitor and oversee events from preparation and set-up through tear down to ensure adherence to planned format, compliance with regulations, cooperation between vendors, resolution of issues, and overall satisfaction of participants and sponsors.
- Maintain a record of vendors and suppliers with up-to-date details on contact information and communications
- Work with Director in creating annual budgets and forecasts for event expenditure.
- Assist in preparing annual event calendar and process for executing all events.
**Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements**
- Graduate of a post-secondary program in Event Management, Business, or related field preferred or two years of Event Planning & Event Marketing.
- Strong written and verbal communication, able to deliver clear, concise information tailored to specific and varied audiences.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Ability to work weekends and events.
- Basic knowledge / experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva & Adobe Illustrator, Premier Pro, considered an asset
- Passion for photography & experience in photo editing
