**Job Summary**:
This position plays a multi-faceted role within the Human Resources Department by providing administrative support to the team while also working with the various departments in the organization. The successful applicant must have a detail-oriented mindset while also being able to build strong relationships with all levels of employees.
**Essential Job Functions**:
- Support the Human Resources Department recruitment and onboarding activities to help facilitate a great experience for new team members.
- The incumbent is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely pay for employees including auditing of bi-weekly pay, processing and auditing retro payments, payments of vacation accruals at termination.
- This role is accountable for working with Northland payroll department to ensure timely issuance of Records of Employments and other payroll related documentation including but not limited to Section 30 earnings for WorkSafe claims.
- Assist in the management of the employee uniform program including inventory, distribution, collection and repair requirements.
- Coordinate the employee transit subsidy program which consists of enrollments, maintenance and auditing.
- Assist the Human Resources Department in various employee recognition programs, events, and engagement initiatives.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with document retention polices as it pertains to employee files.
- Assist with the timely and efficient processing of catering and partnership related accounts receivables and payables.
- Responsible for the day-to-day admin support of the President and Directors including but not limited to preparing and editing correspondence, communications, presentations, and ad hoc reports, meeting files and project files.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel required
- Experience using an HRIS including the time, attendance and payroll functionality required
- Previous experience with accounting processes an asset
- Highly organized with very good attention to detail
- Results-oriented and ability to work at a fast pace
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Exemplary planning and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize amongst multiple leaders
- Tourism or Hospitality industry an asset
- Background check required at the time of hire
Working Conditions
Compensation and Benefits
$50,000 to $55,000 per annum
