**Location - **This role is in-person with multiple UofA sites (North Campus, Edmonton / Campus Saint-Jean, Edmonton / Augustana, Camrose / South Campus Edmonton / Enterprise Square).

**Position**

Reporting to the Manager of Distribution Services and shared Services, the Team Lead will provide consistent leadership to Distribution staff responsible for providing logistics, warehouse and surplus services for the University. The Team Lead is accountable for supervising the delivery, efficiency, integrity and compliance of these services for the university. The Team Lead works directly with a group of Distribution staff to allocate and complete daily work activities relating to freight and mail distribution, office and equipment moves, surplus pickups, furniture delivery/pickups and storage-related activities.

The position ensures the work is completed on a timely basis, allocates staff appropriately, manages conflict, meets safety/legislation requirements, identifies areas for improvement, identifies training requirements and assists in all areas that require additional manpower. The Team Lead provides oversight and coordinates these activities in consultation with other Teams Leads, Distribution Services as well as the Manager, Distribution Services.

**Duties**
- Provide consistent leadership to Distribution staff providing logistics, warehouse and surplus services for the University
- Works cooperatively with Distribution staff and other Distribution team leads and allocates staff appropriately to ensure work is completed on a timely basis
- Identifies training requirements, development needs and areas for improvement
- Manages conflict, acts as a role model and talent coach
- Promotes the commitment to safety as declared through HSE responsibilities and identified in University policy

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Minimum grade 12
- A logistics designation, bachelor's degree, diploma or certificate in a related area supplemented with three to five years' experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a large, complex post-secondary environment
- Ability to effectively work in an integrated service culture, with all levels of staff to provide leadership, exercise influence, and build consensus and partnerships in a complex and collaborative environment (team player)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Risk identification and mitigation skills
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality required
- Able to give positive feedback - solution-focused rather than failure-focused
- Strong MS Office and Google Workspace skills
- Adaptable and thrives in a constantly changing work environment.
