New Program Development Coordinator

**NOTE: This is a temporary position with an anticipated expiry date of March 2024 with the possibility of extension.**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Program Development Coordinator to join our team on a temporary basis. As the Coordinator, you will focus almost entirely on new program ideation, validation, and proposal development. This position will be pivotal in establishing processes for program road mapping, working closely with NAIT’s non-credit department and other key stakeholders to determine pathways and strategic growth of NAIT's program mix. You will play a vital role in guiding new program justification creation through the utilization of thematic and industry focus groups, ensuring alignment with industry needs and demands.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and support new program ideas through the early stages of the program ideation process, guiding industry engagement and research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate pathway and strategic road mapping conversations for new programs, ensuring alignment with NAIT's mission and vision.
- Develop practices and guidelines for conducting thematic and industry focus groups to support new program ideation and development.
- Work with Educational Insights, schools, and other stakeholders to research opportunities and gather valuable insights from industry focus groups and engagements.
- Coordinate the development of program elements, such as mapping, financial costing, admissions procedures, and pathways, to create comprehensive program proposals.
- Prepare well-structured ministry proposals based on the gathered information and submit them for review and approval by the Academic Council and Board.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Proven experience in project management and coordination, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize data from diverse sources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Experience in a related role in a post-secondary context is preferred.

**Remuneration**:$2,566.82 - $3,451.82 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Coordinator II)
- This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement._
