The Company’s video and data solutions and its Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) business model are enabling the transformation of transportation systems into intelligent transit and Smart Cities.
**About This Opportunity**
The organization is located out of Gatekeeper's head office in Abbotsford, BC. We are expanding and are seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative that would report directly to the VP of Sales - Transit. We are looking for an enterprising, self-starting individual to join our company. As part of our team, you recognize and cultivate potential sales leads, travel to meet with prospective clients, and build lasting beneficial relationships.As a member of our team, you will use your strong interpersonal skills to provide service and support to your customers as needed, which may include coordinating with other departments.
**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Make outbound calls to develop leads and generate business.
- Travel within North America to meet with potential customers and develop business opportunities.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product and service needs; identifies and suggests products solutions to meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of our product solutions to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new product solutions, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Participating in trade shows, training, or associated product meetings when necessary
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship issues. Ensures all client communication is logged in our CRM system.
- Preparing and analyzing data to build a sales pipeline.
- Monitor market conditions in relation to competitors.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business an asset, or equivalent employment experience.
- Minimum five years of related experience.
**Physical Requirements**
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long hours at a time.
- Valid passport and be able to travel.
- Valid driver’s license.
