**Overview of the Position**: Looking for a self-starting individual to join our company as an Outside Sales Representative. You would be responsible for developing and maintaining business with existing accounts. They would be responsible for developing new businesses within the Lower Mainland, Northwestern BC, and the Yukon regions. The primary region will be the Lower Mainland, with Northwestern BC and Yukon Territory being the satellite regions. Travelling 75% of the time within these regions, including day trips, is required.
The primary products lines that this Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for are John Deere and Kubota industrial power systems products. Along with Frontier custom generation equipment using John Deere and Kubota industrial products.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develop new sales accounts and maintain existing accounts with an emphasis on developing new business opportunities
- Maintain records of customer contacts and site visits and follow up on customers’ requirements
- Timely prepare and present accurate equipment quotations with cost estimates
- Effectively utilize our internal support departments (Engineering, Parts and Service) to provide our customers with superior value and service
- Assist in resolving aftersales customer questions or concerns through coordinating with the appropriate departments
- Providing internal budgets and forecasts as required
- Participate in trade shows, complete manufacturer's product training, and attend product meetings as required
- Proactively communicate with management on all aspects of our customer business
- Generate internal customer sales call reports with customer feedback, as required
- Pursue business opportunities in a highly professional manner in alignment with company standards
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Hold a Technologist diploma or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certificate
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience or 5-7 years of inside sales experience, with some outside sales exposure
- Experience in industrial diesel engines and power generation is a strong asset
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Comfortable working independently, while effectively managing assigned territory and accounts
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proven strategic sales tactics with the ability to close sales
- Ability to travel, attend, and conduct sales presentations
- Have access to reliable personal transportation, a clean driving record and a valid drivers’ licence
