**Job Description**:
Beverage ticket sales for Banquet events scheduled at the Fairmont Royal York. Key responsibilities include balancing cash, credit card receipts and tickets at the beginning and end of each shift. Duties are performed according to Fairmont standard ticket handling procedures.
- Counts, stores and racks beverage tickets according to the banquet event.
- Sells beverage tickets to the guests via cash, credit or & debit transactions.
- Operates both computerized ticketing machines and manual paper systems.
- Balances cash receipts and unsold tickets to ensure ticket accuracy and security.
- Explains redemption policies, answers questions, and resolves routine problems regarding ticket sales with guests.
- Takes initiative for exceeding guest expectations
- Ensures that all cash and credit handling policies and procedures are followed
- Adhere to ALL Safe Standards, ensuring all hygiene and prevention measures are being met
- Adhere to alcohol handling procedures and policies
- Will work weekends, holidays and shift work as scheduled
- Any other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Strong financial acumen
- Two Years relevant Cash Handling experience.
- Effective oral communication skills.
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- SmartServe Certified

Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Frequent ascending or descending stairs and ramps
