**Job description**

We are looking for an experience individual to lead the improvement of business execution through the development of processes, specification of system requirements, and implementation leadership.

Java Holdings Ltd. owns a portfolio of companies in North America and Europe and is engaged in its acquisitions providing high level execution support for large utility, oil and gas, and power generation projects, specializing in EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Management).

This is an office-based position located in Edmonton, AB. and requires some national and internal travel.

This role reports directly to the Director of Systems at Java.

**Core responsibilities of this role include**:
**Process Improvement**
- evaluate and analyze business and project processes, identify inefficiencies, issues, risks and opportunities for process optimization within and between the Java owned companies and systems
- lead, support and assist business units with the development of process workflows, information assets, as well as modeling of new, revised, and automated processes
- ensure implementation, adoption, and validation of new processes

**Systems**
- form the bridge between IT and business operations solving problems with IT solutions, through the analysis and translation of business and user requirements into system requirements, specifications, designs, procedures, and other documents supporting systems procurement, development, and integration initiatives
- support system implementation by producing internal guides, training materials, and end-user documentation, performing user acceptance testing and implementing continuous improvement

**Project Management**
- interface with executives, company mangers, functional leads, and systems owners to define Systems project objectives, execution plans and resources to achieve solutions that satisfy business needs
- assemble, coordinate, and lead integrated multi-company and cross-functional project teams through all stages of Systems projects, from initiation to roll out
- ensure the timely completion of Systems projects within allocated budget, and throughout the project provide to key stakeholder’s visibility of project progress, issues, risks, changes and opportunities
- coordinate workshops, training, and plans for monitoring and continuous improvement

**Your credentials, experience, and personal attributes include**:

- degree or Certificate related to the position (e.g. Business Analysis, Project Management, Information Technology) or equivalent education and experience
- 3 years experience in leading process analysis, development, documentation, and implementation
- 3 years experience in leading system requirements definition and implementation leadership
- ability to conceptualize and communicate complex concepts to a variety of departmental, project and management stakeholders
- ability to collaborate and achieve consensus with stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- analytical thinker with excellent skills in research, analysis, evaluation of statistical and narrative data, and making sound decisions based on factual evidence resolving complex problems
- strong leaderships skills with a history of leading successful process and system projects
- excellent organizational, planning, time management and documentation skills
- outstanding interpersonal., oral and written communication and presentation skills
- strong technical understanding of systems and ability to communicate requirements and specifications to IT professionals
- strong computer skills including proficiency using the full Office 365 suite
- solutions oriented, independent problem solver with fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- dedicated team player who works well independently and as part of a team
- positive attitude, leader of change.
- fluency in English required, multiple languages desirable
- experience working in the utility sector is desirable
