In the Edmonton region, we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and Nisku. This role will be located in our Nisku facility, offering various shifts to accommodate diverse schedules.

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician-Panels to join our team. As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for installing and terminating conduit wire, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and control components. Your tasks will also include fabricating control panels, installing interlocking wiring, performing wiring check-out, and assisting with systems start-up.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. A Licensed Journeyman Electrician in Alberta with relevant certifications, such as Industrial Electrician Trade Certification and Industrial Electrician Red Seal Certificate, is required.

This role offers a competitive estimated salary of $75,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on industry standards and regional cost of living. The working environment is commercial/industrial, requiring manual dexterity and adherence to safety policies. Overtime may be required, but opportunities for growth and professional development are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews blueprints and specifications to ensure drawings and specifications meet environmental requirements.
  • Provides material take-offs for electrical facilities equipment requirements.
  • Constructs electrical control panels, rough and finish wiring, and control systems.
  • Installs system components and wiring in compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UFC standards.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical control circuits for motors and control devices.
  • Proposes changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications.
  • Assists in training, directing, and supervising junior employees and apprentices.
  • Evaluates accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Provides technical assistance and emergency response for existing facilities electrical systems.
  • Tests repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Maintains detailed maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Stays up-to-date with changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Complies with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership's safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
