The Canadian Light Source Inc. (CLSI) is a national research facility of the University of Saskatchewan. CLS produces very bright light to explore the nature and structure of molecules, and serves national and international users from academia, industry, and government institutions.

**Responsibilities**
- Delivers effective customer service and communicates (verbal and written) in a professional manner with users, staff, contractors, stakeholders, and the public.
- Provides general administrative support of varying levels of complexity which may include word processing, organizing documents and files, assisting with the retrieval of documents and records, entering data or updating spreadsheets, maintaining databases and contact lists, and preparing correspondence and reports.
- Proofreads and edits CLS documents with a focus on formatting and grammar, ensuring the standards for quality, accessibility, and presentation are met.
- Provides support to other administrative staff when required (e.g. workload peaks, vacation, sick leave, etc.), which may include, but not be limited to, the following tasks: Covering reception during staff breaks and absences (planned and unplanned), assisting with the Document Control processes to ensure timely movement of documents, printing Facility Access badges after access criteria have been met, and processing in person or over the phone payments for merchandise or various CLS invoices.
- Maintains information within various software programs or databases. May compile data, statistics, and other information to support the preparation of reports.
- Fosters effective relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, users, and contractors.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Grade 12 diploma and relevant post-secondary diploma/certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience normally required depending on the position to be filled.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience may be required.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong organizational abilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

**Remuneration**: This position falls within the scope of the Unifor Local 609 Collective Agreement, classified as an Admin-C on the Administrative Salary Grid, with a salary of $52,595 per annum. A comprehensive benefits package, including supplemental health & dental, health spending account, life insurance, pension plan, scheduled days off, and three weeks’ vacation is part of a competitive compensation package.
