With over thirty years of experience, Alta Care Resources has a history of innovative and creative programming in the areas of; group care, crisis response, resiliency training, early intervention/prevention programs and family-based intervention.

Alta Care Resources provides Collaborative Service Delivery; this service is focused on child-centered outcomes and family-centered services to promote collaborative practices between Children Services staff and contracted services providers like Alta Care Resources. It is a model that builds upon the strengths of all stakeholders involved with a family and is practiced within the spirit of partnership.

The **Lifelong Connections Specialist **manages family finding through file mining and referrals. It is the role of the Lifelong Connections Specialist to build connections with youth and families to ensure that the youth understand their family history and work with the families directly to ensure safety so that the families can maintain the children within their care. The Lifelong Connections Specialist is responsible for facilitating Family Decision Making Circles (FDMC) with the family, service team, friends, and community support. This also includes providing high quality family group conferences, family support circles, ceremonies, and intense family searches.

**Qualifications**
- A diploma or degree in human services field diploma or fully certified within their field of practice and 2 years of work-related experience in a human services field
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
- Demonstrated skills in high-stress or conflict situations
- A reliable vehicle and Driver’s License with proof of appropriate insurance, and a Drivers Abstract and Insurance Claim letter that reflects safe driving habits

**Other Requirements**: A current, clear Police Information Check (vulnerable sector included) and Child Intervention Record Check, both dated within the last 6 months. A valid AB driver’s license (minimum class 5), proof of appropriate insurance, a Drivers Abstract and Insurance Claim letter that reflects safe driving habits.

**Schedule**:Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day within any agency programs. Note that this is a schedule based on the availability of the families you are serving and has evening hours based on your assigned family’s needs.

**Work Conditions**
