**STRAND IS LOOKING FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TECHNICIAN**

Strand is seeking a Customer Service Technician to join our team. As a Customer Service Technician, you will work alongside the Customer Service Team, completing repairs at various project sites, interacting with homeowners, and working alongside trades and contractors. This is a full-time position.

Strand’s active projects are comprised of over six thousand residential units and, in Greater Vancouver, Strand is developing over thirty-four hundred homes (fourteen hundred condominiums and two thousand rental apartments), along with over one million three hundred thousand square feet of employment generating space (retail/office/light industrial).

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

The duties of the Customer Care Technician may include but are not limited to:

- Repair warrantable deficiencies from homeowner service requests i.e., painting, celling, carpentry work
- Trouble shooting and installation of various items as required
- Coordinate with multiple trades and contractors
- Supervise trades when completing service requests
- touch ups, filling, sanding, caulking, adjusting doors, drawers or any other items
- Contacting homeowners regarding issues or requests
- Assisting with post-occupancy deficiency remediation
- Assessing deficiencies reported by homeowners during the first year of occupancy
- Conducting one-year warranty deficiency remediation
- Contacting trades to request for homeowner service and warranty work
- Assisting with key turn overs and walkthroughs with the homeowners
- Providing updates in writing daily to the Manager of Customer Care
- Providing daily reports of completed service requests and deficiency remediation
- Basic carpentry skills
- Provide recommendations to customer for service improvements and repairs
- Accurately and completely maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records within custom software
- Provide excellent customer service to current and new homeowners
- On call in emergency situations

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Deficiency experience; wide range of knowledge such as drywall, painting and caulking
- Carpentry experience; fencing, building signage, Jack of all trades
- Previous experience in within a customer service role
- A self-starter with a willingness to ask questions and find solutions;
- Ability to troubleshoot specifically, plumbing, electrical and HVAC
- Ability to work independently and in cooperation with the Manager of Customer Care.
- Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with homeowners and trades;
- Team player
- Effective written and oral communications skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe, and custom software;
- Tech savvy and previous administration experience is an asset;
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of or experience in trades and maintenance work is desired.
- 2+ years’ experience in a customer care technician role.
