**Job Overview**

The IT Procurement Specialist, reporting into the Director, IT Operations is responsible for purchasing IT-related goods and services for the company and managing contracts with vendors.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage all phases of the procurement process.
- Evaluate the organization and stakeholder IT needs and creates clear and explicit requirements for products and services.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and service level agreements for IT products and services.
- Ensure that all IT products and services are acquired adequately to allow the organization’s projects and processes to proceed efficiently.
- Monitor and control contracts as they become effective.
- Review previous purchases and evaluate the vendor’s effectiveness, compliance, and business ROI.

**Education, Training & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Five or more years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement techniques, contract/subcontract management, and category management.

**Skills & Abilities**
- Strategic management skills including in-depth knowledge of the market and offering insights into the organization (projected growth, competitors, industry trends, estimates ROI, etc.).
- Robust negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Cost management skills to evaluate, optimize, and control all aspects of the procurement process.
- Contract management skills including contract creation, execution, and analysis to optimize operational and financial performance.
- Ability to collect and analyze data to make decisions on IT procurement.

**Working Conditions**
- Prolonged period sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
