Mount Royal is located in the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina, and the Iyarhe Nakoda. The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation.

**About the Role**:

We are seeking instructors with the ability to teach either one or both of the following course(s):
**Position 1) Instructor for Kodaly Group Classes**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Instruction: course delivery including lesson preparation, course activities, and assessments; and
- Administration: submit course attendance sheets, course outline signature forms, final assessments upon course completion, and participate in scheduled program meetings.

**Qualifications**:

- The instructor must bring expertise in early childhood music, including in-depth knowledge of Kodaly music education with knowledge of Orff, Suzuki, and Dalcroze music education techniques as an asset.
- Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Education (professional equivalency will be considered) and Kodaly diploma levels preferred; musicianship and pedagogy training; experience working with young children; teaching experience; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; energetic and enthusiastic person.

**Position 2) Instructor for "Music with your Baby" and "Music and Movement" Group Classes**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Instruction: course delivery including lesson preparation, course activities, and assessments; and
