Piano Instructor

Job Overview:
Are you a passionate and experienced music instructor looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture budding musicians? Look no further Flourish Piano Studio is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Piano Instructor.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and conduct engaging piano lessons using the Piano Adventures program, RCM, or other approved materials.
- Prepare students for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams if preferred, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel.
- Integrate classical piano techniques with the ability to play by ear, fostering a holistic approach to learning piano.

**Expectations**:

- Attend and actively participate in two recitals per year.
- Demonstrate proficiency in teaching both classical piano techniques and playing by ear.
- Possess the ability to prepare students for RCM exams if desired by students or parents.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum Grade 9 Royal Conservatory certification.
- Preferred degree in Music with a specialization in piano.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching piano lessons.
- Ability to teach from a home studio located in NW Calgary or willingness to travel to students' homes. Preferably Tuscany area
- Availability to work weekday evenings between 3pm and 8pm.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 5 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person
