**About the Faculty of Continuing Education & Extension**:
MRU has provided continuing education to the Calgary community and beyond for more than 60 years. We offer more than 1,000 courses and 100 certificate and diploma programs and have more than 50,000 course registrations each year. Our courses cover a wide range of sectors, including but not limited to social services, business, and health. These courses are offered in a variety of formats on campus, online, in the workplace, and in the community.

**About the Role**:
Instructors are contracted on a per course basis to teach in Mount Royal University's Funeral Service Education programs. Visit our website for program details at mru.ca/funeral. The department is seeking an instructor with the ability to teach the following course:
**Name of Course**: Introduction to Conflict Resolution (online), Funeral Education

**Responsibilities**:

- **Instruction**: course delivery including preparation of course outline, lesson preparation and assessments, facilitate online course delivery using approved curriculum and learning materials, course activities, and course D2L site; and
- **Administration**:Marking and submission of course grades, input final grades upon course completion, adhere to program policies and deadlines, and participate in scheduled program meetings.

**Qualifications**:

- Teaching experience in adult education or training; special consideration will be given to applicants with experience in online course facilitation and engaging students in a virtual environment
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills with a track record for professionalism and diplomacy
- Strong organizational and time management skills; aptitude for problem-solving and attention to detail
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding students
- 3-5 years of experience and education in a related discipline
- Proficiency in D2L Learning Management System and Google Applications is an asset
