The Ministry of Jobs, Economy, and Northern Development has an exciting opportunity and is looking for a Facilities Advisor to join our team

Reporting to the Manager of Accommodations and Facilities. The Facilities Advisor provides a broad range of accommodations services in this ministry and its entities. This position provides technical expertise to all staff of the department and entities to ensure that they have the necessary office space and amenities to provide efficient delivery of program services.

The Facilities Advisor is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising the delivery of a broad range of accommodations and facilities services such as; smaller accommodation furniture planning, facility management, small WORTS projects, fleet vehicles and parking, access cards, telecommunications and surplus.

This position is responsible to deliver these services through the partnership and coordination of unit staff, client business units, other government department and multiple public and private sector services providers.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Recruitment Standard: University graduation in a related field; no experience required; or equivalent as described below.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

**Assets**:

- Sounds working knowledge of government and department policies, procedures, regulation, systems and practices related to accommodations, building maintenance, tenant services and improvements, parking vehicle leasing, telecom and surplus
- Developed project management skills including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical drawings and specifications.
- Communication, consultation and presentation skills to effectively interact and negotiate with clients, consults, contractors, building analytical and research skills to investigate issues relating to the administration of relevant services, with goals of recommending viable and effective solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with managers and representatives of other government departments.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks and projects while carrying out ongoing operational responsibilities, along with ability to meet tight timelines associated with specific assignments.
- Ability to resolve conflict and implement change management techniques to staff to ease transitions
- OH&S courses/certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in the use of various software products (i.e. MS office, BLIMS, WORTS, OPRA)

**Salary**:
$2,310.48- $3,030.81 biweekly ($60,303.53 - $79,104.14/ year)

**Notes**:
This is a temporary full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
