Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor - Fort McMurray, AB

CIMS Limited Partnership seeks **highly motivated individuals who can implement, mentor, and guide health and safety initiatives with leadership experience to fill the Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor role.**

As **Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor,** you will be responsible for Reporting to the H&S Lead. The H&S Advisor provides information and training in emergency response procedures, hazardous material handling, and industrial hygiene policies and manages hazardous waste collection, storage, transportation, and shipping. The H&S Advisor will actively follow and assists in establishing and implementing organizational policies and procedures regarding local, provincial, and federal health concerns. This position also ensures compliance with regulations and guidelines by carrying out and analyzing regular audits of the facility.

**You will be accountable for the following**:
Support the implementation of H&S initiatives.

Ensure internal customer needs are supported to facilitate operational excellence concerning H&S.
- Would be an individual who Conducts health and safety audits, both compliance and program based. Immediately stop any unsafe work.
- Participate in the Daily Toolbox Talks.
- Prepare comprehensive written reports with clear findings and recommendations.
- Monitor, measure, and report on environmental health and safety performance.

**Working conditions you can expect while performing your role include**:

- Standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, faxes, and phones will be used.
- May be required to work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Must work in a portable trailer on client sites with adequate lighting and temperature.
- Will be required to work on customer sites, supplier premises and other facilities.
