**External Relations Coordinator**

**Summary**

Reporting to the Executive Officer (EO), the External Relations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving the organizational growth and success of the Niagara Association of REALTORS® (NAR) by ensuring that strategic goals are translated into actionable plans and executed effectively. They are a well-rounded leader who can navigate the complexities of strategic planning and execution while effectively communicating and collaborating with others to achieve the NAR and Executive
Office’s objectives.

The External Relations Coordinator is a team player who is a visionary thinker who can identify, plan, and oversee key initiatives that drive growth, innovation, and long-term success. They will collaborate closely with the Executive Office, NAR Volunteers, and external partners to drive the strategic priorities inclusive of advocacy and fundraising while ensuring alignment with NAR’s mission and goals.

The External Relations Coordinator of the NAR builds and maintains mutually beneficial relationships, facilitates communications and coordinates activities, meetings, and events among
NAR and identified key stakeholders in both the Niagara and organized real estate communities.
They will showcase strong organizational skills, prepare and deliver written and verbal communications, and have flexibility to travel and attend meetings on behalf of the Executive
Office of the NAR.

**Key Responsibilities**

The key responsibilities outlined below are interpreted as being descriptive in nature and are not an exhaustive list of all possible job requirements, tasks, and duties.
- Niagara Association of REALTORS® Advocacy Efforts Coordination _
- Works in collaboration with the Executive Office, NAR Volunteers including the Niagara
- Housing Attainability Taskforce and PAC Representatives Taskforce, and key decision makers locally, provincially, and nationally to coordinate the advocacy efforts of the NAR.
- Is knowledgeable of the goals and objectives of the NAR’s advocacy strategies while understanding the current issues of concern in Niagara relating to housing attainability.
- Coordinates and attends meetings with key stakeholders to deliver the NAR, the Ontario
- Real Estate Association (OREA), and the Canadian Real Estate Association’s (CREA) advocacy strategies inclusive of PAC Days, REALTOR® Advocacy Days and follow-up meetings with Niagara Mayors, the Regional Chair, MPs and MPPs.
- Collaborates with the Executive Office to plan, market and execute advocacy-specific events inclusive of NAR-hosted stakeholder roundtables, advocacy luncheons and meetings and other summits and conferences to support the advocacy developments of the NAR.
- Niagara REALTORS Care® Coordination _
- Develops and implements an annual fundraising plan to support the Niagara REALTORS
- Care® annual efforts inclusive of fundraising goals, strategies, and key initiatives for the upcoming year.
- Has a general understanding of local Niagara shelter-based not-for-profit organizations and their fundraising needs and how the NAR’s REALTORS Care® fundraising efforts can help them.
- Researches and evaluates new fundraising ideas, initiatives, and best practices for NAR’s fundraising plans.
- Prepares comprehensive reports and presentations for the Executive Officer, highlighting potential opportunities and recommendations and post-fundraising initiatives results.
- Corporate Sponsorship Portfolio _
- Develops a corporate sponsorship portfolio comprising of Niagara-specific partners and real estate specific sponsors.
- Creates an attractive corporate sponsorship package tailored to different levels of engagement.
- Identifies and establishes relationships with potential sponsors, highlighting the benefits of partnering with the NAR.
- Ensures proper stewardship of sponsors, including alignment with the Executive Office to set up acknowledgement, recognition, and regular updates on event outcomes once the sponsorship has been engaged.
- Communications and External Relations _
- Acts as the main contact point for all external stakeholders related to the advocacy and fundraising efforts of the Niagara Association of REALTORS®.
- Develops, maintains, and continually updates feedback from various stakeholders to the
- Executive Office to enhance member and community relations and advance the strategic initiatives of NAR.
- Works collectively with the Executive Office and Communications team to ensure all NAR advocacy and Niagara REALTORS® Care initiatives are communicated to promote Niagara
- REALTORS® both internally and externally.

**Qualifications and Experience**

The External Relations Coordinator will ideally have a diploma in Business Administration,
Communications, Political Science, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the Employer will also be considered.
