**Communications Coordinator**

**Summary**

Reporting to the Executive Officer (EO), the Communications Coordinator holds an integral role in the function of the Niagara Association of REALTORS® (NAR) by focusing on the execution of timely, professional, and effective communications of the Association.

Working alongside the EO, Association Staff, and Board Leaders, the Communications Coordinator defines and implements communications strategies which support the Association’s Strategic Goals, engages Membership in a manner which increases the Association’s value, and assists in event related activities when necessary. The Communications Coordinator champions the role of communications Association-wide both internally with Members and externally with all stakeholders. They work independently in ensuring the Association’s mission, messaging and branding are evident in all professional quality communications delivered to the applicable audiences.

The Communications Coordinator works independently towards the completion of their Canadian REALTOR® Association Executive (CRAE) designation through the guidance of the EO.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Executing all NAR Member Communications_
- Coordinates the development and implementation of internal communications strategies to raise understanding and awareness of Association-lead projects with all NAR Members.
- Works with the EO to implement the Board of Directors’ Strategic Plan through the development of communications and initiatives pertaining to the Communications Coordinator’s role.
- Advises Members on issues, training opportunities and initiatives through NAR-Branded communications.
- Manages the NAR Member Facebook Group by ensuring full compliance, communication and follow-up are adhered to in the Group.
- Prepares and distributes the Association’s monthly newsletter, the FLASH.
- Monitors and communicates accordingly all Organized Real Estate Organizations’ messaging relative to NAR Members.
- Collaborates with the Member Engagement and Events Coordinator to communicate all Association planned events.
- Attends and participates in the NAR Professional Network Committee meetings by offering support relative to the communications needed for the Committee’s Annual Plan.
- Works with the MLS® and Systems Support Coordinator and NAR President to ensure the Monthly NAR Market Analysis and Statistics Report are drafted and communicated accordingly.
- Collaborates with NAR Staff to ensure any department-specific communications are developed and communicated to NAR Members as needed.
- Provides all edited communications drafts to the Executive Assistant prior to delivering to the Members.

Executes all NAR External Communications with Stakeholders_
- Coordinates the development and implementation of external communications strategies to raise the awareness of Board initiated messaging to the public and external stakeholders.
- Works closely with external stakeholders, the EO, the President and other NAR leaders to execute communications including advertising and marketing campaigns.
- Develops and manages social media content on all NAR operated platforms including Facebook Pages, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to raise the awareness of the Niagara REALTORS® with the public.
- Seeks ways to gain media coverage and develop media relations for the Association.
- Develops and manages an external corporate sponsorship program with external stakeholders while promoting to NAR Members through communications.
- Staff Liaison for Public Relations Committee__
- Acts as the staff liaison for the NAR Public Relations (PR) Committee by working closely with the Chair and Members to ensure their committee action plans are executed as directed.
- Provides resources as required to the Chair and Committee.
- Reports progress and needs of the Committee to the Executive Officer.
- Records and maintains the minutes of all PR Committee meetings.
- Schedules meetings and provides meeting agendas as developed by the Chair with all meeting package supporting documents to the Committee Members in a timely manner.
- Prepares all materials and meeting rooms for effective Committee meetings.
- Acts as the Staff Liaison between the Committee and external stakeholders for all PR Committee initiatives.

**Working Conditions**
- Scheduled work week will be Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm with the flexibility to facilitate Association events and meetings outside of the normal workday.
- All hours outside of the normal workday to be approved by the Executive Officer and recorded as Lieu/Banked Time in PayWorks.
- Travel may be required for events and/or professional development opportunities
- All mileage to and from events including pre-event preparation travel to be logged and approved by the Executive Officer for mileage compensation as per the NAR Policy.

**Salary**: $45,000.00 per year
