**Payroll Coordinator**
The District School Board of Niagara has a position for **Payroll Coordinator **in DSBN’s Payroll Services Department.
Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, the successful applicant will be a key part of the Department, helping the Board meet its payroll compliance standards and regulations. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance of policies, procedures, and pension plans.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Assisting with the preparation of the salary budget, revised estimates and Ministry reporting;
- Reviewing and verifying payroll processes and calculations of DSBN’s deferred finance leave program and administering the auto-taxable benefit process;
- Managing the T4A reporting and issuance;
- Supporting the OMERS pension plan compliance and reporting requirements and monitoring the Teacher
Information Management System;
- Reviewing and assisting with the calculation of the vacation pay out process;
- Benefit payments, reconciliation, and reporting;
- Assisting with the implementation of process improvements and the point of contact to provide correct GL account numbers for employee set-ups;
- Providing position costing estimates;
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is preferred
- Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) is preferred
- Completion of post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting or Human Resources
- Minimum of five (5) years of payroll and pension experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of financial reporting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe
- Experience in a unionized setting is preferred
- Provision of a satisfactory Police Clearance including Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check
(PCRJMC) (an original copy date in the last 6 months may be acceptable) is a condition of employment.
**Salary range: $60,802 - $71,104**. This is a full-time position and is part of the Board’s union-exempt
Administrative Management Group and includes a comprehensive benefit plan.
