**Position Description**:
The Clinical Research Project Assistant will conduct clinical research studies according to regulatory and institutional guidelines and requirements. This includes coordinating patient recruitment and data collection, study administration, preparing consents and paperwork required by the Research Ethics Board, and organizing data entry. The CRPA will also have the opportunity to assist in the preparation of study results, including presentations, progress reports, posters, and manuscripts if desired.

The Clinical Research Project Assistant will work closely with the Clinical Research Project Manager and Principal Investigator to assist in all study-related activities.

**Here's What You'll Get To Do**:

- Provide information and documentation for potential study participants (study information letter, consent, patient eligibility items).
- Confirm patient eligibility (confirm criteria are satisfied), obtain informed consent, and enroll patients into the study.
- Explain and distribute questionnaire packages to parents/participants, collect completed questionnaires, or ensure completion.
- Perform data management including checking data for accuracy and completeness, scoring data, entering data, and data cleaning
- Perform patient interviews as required by the study protocol.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
- Read and have a general knowledge of protocol and study measures.
- Assist in redesign of case-report forms and/or questionnaires.
- Keep abreast of regulations and policies governing clinical research.
- Submit to REB and coordinate revisions. Assist Principal Investigator with annual approval process and amend protocols and consents as required.
- Conduct literature reviews and keep current with study literature.
- Attend relevant departmental meetings or rounds in order to increase knowledge and understanding.
- Develop and monitor timelines for study.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Post-secondary degree in a health-related discipline (e.g., Nursing, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Psychology). One year of related clinical research experience may be an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and self-directed
- Excellent computer skills (strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data collection platforms such as REDCap)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to pay close attention to detail while maintaining view of the larger scope
