The College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSO) is looking for a detail-oriented, customer service focused individual to fill the role of Records Assistant for the Document and Records Management (DRM) department. This role supports the CPSO’s document and records management program by providing records services to College staff and operational services within the department.

**This is a 6-month contract with possibility of extension. This role requires full-time, onsite work at the CPSO office.**

**Main Responsibilities**:
***Distributes, tracks and maintains all physical College records
- Retrieves and returns records to and from appropriate storage locations, distributing to corresponding stakeholders and maintaining record chain of custody
- Collects, boxes, lists and conducts quality checks prior to shipment of records off-site
- Processes IT back-up tapes for off-site storage
- Performs preservation activities on files i.e. replaces worn registration file folders, repairs labels etc.
- Participates in the development and delivery of initiatives to build awareness of DRM and its services
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Document and Records Management

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent
- College diploma or completion of records management courses preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing duties and meeting established deadlines/customer service expectations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong customer service philosophy and quality driven
- Demonstrated experience in a general office environment
- Previous file room and/or record centre experience (preferred)
- Equity/diversity/inclusion training would be an asset
