As Research Officer, you will play an integral role in supporting the research goals and overall project activities. Using your strong interpersonal skills, you will foster positive relationships with project partners. Your strong research and project management skills will enable you to conduct systematic literature reviews as well as implement and execute qualitative/quantitative research methods. Your background and experience supporting research projects will contribute to advancing the overall goals and initiatives of the project.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Preparing projects or policies of importance that require a rigorous approach and attention to very fine detail
- Collecting data through focus groups, interview and research surveys
- Analyzing results and summarizing research results, preparing statistical reports, and conducting systematic literature reviews, including delivering presentations at conferences on research findings
- Analyzing and writing program scripts to extract, reformat and analyze data
- Fostering positive relationships with project partners and informing stakeholders of project progress
- Drafting and submitting documented procedures to the Research Ethics Board (REB) for approval

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in a related field or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum four (4) years of relevant work experience conducting research, analyzing, interpreting and reporting on results
- Experience coordinating research projects and implementing qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Demonstrated experience drafting summaries of research results, preparing written materials and conducting literature reviews
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection, interpretation and analysis through coordination of focus groups, interviews and research surveys
- Experience submitting documented procedures to the Research Ethics Board (REB)
- Demonstrated experience with translating research into effective communications, publications and reports for a variety of audiences, including delivering presentations on research findings at conferences.
- Proficiency in with Microsoft Office suite, Qualtrics, SPSS and NVivo
- Advanced research and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in research project planning, implementation and coordination
- Ability to manage relationships with multiple groups; work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail and effectively manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills; tact and confidentiality
